About us

Safebubble.org.nz is a website run by the Ministry of Social Development It’s Not OK campaign team.  It’s purpose is to support a new campaign promoting that it’s still ok to ask for help during New Zealand’s response to COVID-19.

This campaign is part of a broader Joint Venture family and sexual violence response to COVID-19. It’s been developed at pace by agency and sector partners in response to growing police concerns and international experiences of increases in family and sexual violence of up to 20 to 30 percent. Family violence agencies in New Zealand have told us they are worried that people do not know help is still available, or how to access it.
